When discussing the value or worth of something in Korean, V + 을 가치가 없다/있다 and N + 의 가치가 없다/있다 are commonly used expressions. They provide a way to convey the idea of something being worthwhile or not.

Expressing Worth in Actions

The structure V + 을 가치가 없다/있다 is used to determine the value or worth of an action:

Some people think that it's not worth attending university.
This movie isn't worth watching.

Assigning Value to Nouns

With N + 의 가치가 없다/있다, the worth or value of a specific item or thing is addressed:

These days £1 is worth about 1540 won.
My car is worth 2 million won.
How much is this worth?
It's not worth much.

Understanding these structures is valuable when discussing the worthiness of actions or the monetary value of items in Korean. It allows for richer communication, ensuring clarity and nuance in exchanges.
