건너다 -- to cross

어렸을 때 어머니가 항상 횡단 보도에서 길을 건너야 돼다고 말했어요.

When I was young, my mother said I should always cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.

건너가다 -- to go across (a road/river/bridge etc)

(건너 + to go)

런던에서 배로 템스 강을 건너갈 수 있어요.

In London you can cross the River Thames by boat.

건너오다 -- to come across, be introduced (to a place)

(건너 + to come)

그 사람들이 중국으로 한국에서 건너왔어요.

Those people came across from China to Korea.

건너뛰다 -- to skip over, jump across

(건너 + to jump)

아이들이 시내를 건너뛰어요.

The children jumped across the stream.

그냥, 다음 20페이지를 건너뛰어요. 처음 부분은 읽을 가치가 없어요.

Just skip the next 20 pages. The first part isn't worth reading.
